Laundry Attendant Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an attentive and responsible Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that the laundromat is clean, well-maintained, and operating smoothly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with their laundry needs

• Unload washers and dryers of clothes that have been left behind

• Wash, dry and fold drop-off laundry for customers

• Keep the laundromat clean and organized including the machines, lint traps and washer drains

• Report any problems to a supervisor and/or maintenance staff

• Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions

• Ensure that customers are the only patrons in the stores at all times

• Maintain cash drawer accurately and securely

• Show up to scheduled shift on time and not close the store early

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to manage multiple customers

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds above one’s head

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a laundromat or other customer service environment

• Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures

• Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage with raises available.
